I am going to Tryweryn at least twice this spring / summer / autumn . I have not made any dates , have not got any holidays booked , am not kayaking abroad this year , so who would like to go , and when ?

I will be going , even alone if no-one is interested . I enjoy paddling there for myself , but equally enjoy helping others progress .

For those that don't know : In my opinion it is the best place in England and Wales to improve your paddling ( up to grade 3 ) .
The river has a path right along it so any section can be repeatedly ran again and again until it is mastered .

Probably camping.

In theory I am interested if I am available. I don't want to dictate dates though.

Always makes an excellent weekend!

In theory I'm also up for this. It's a good place to paddle with lots of good walking nearby.

I'd be keen to join for a couple of trips there this year, it's such a fantastic venue.

Reasonably flexible on dates Smile

I'd be game for this. Obviously would need to finish my exams before I'd be available but otherwise I'm easy

Anne...yes this trip is primarily for people like you. The others above have paddled it before , some many times , but that just goes to show how good it is .

20th-21st sounds good. I shall treat that as a pre-Glastonbury paddle. Is anyone planning on dropping down for the Tryweryn fest? Goes on from the 24th-26th of July and Party, Camping, Food, Paddling and Shuttles is just £45 (£25 if your not interested in the shuttles) My Uni clubs heading down that weekend and it just generally sounds like a great laugh.

I've just submitted a booking request to the campsite, so should hopefully know soon where we'll be staying. Rough plan at the moment will be to drive up Friday night, and paddle both Sat and Sun on the Tryweryn.

Fingers crossed will have some sun and warm weather Smile

So at the moment this is the list of those interested (please can you advise if you are still coming?)
    James
    Fox
    Hardy
    Andy
    Neil H
    Leonie
    Ewan
    Yo
    Anne
    John W

Sorry, I'm not going to be able to make it this time. Sad

We will be camping at the Bwch-yn-Uchaf campsite.
Address: Bwch-yn-Uchaf, Llanuwchllyn, Nr. Bala, Gwynedd, LL23 7DD, Wales.
Cost will be £9 per night per person.

This is a lovely campsite only a short drive from the Tryweryn, which also has a local pub where we normally get our evening meals and beverages.

So updated list:

James
Fox
Hardy
Andy
Neil H
Ewan
Yo
Anne
John W

I would love to join in on this however my shift pattern won't be able to make this trip. However should you go again this year hopefully it fit around my shift.

Would love to join, but out of action for a while as I require a knee operation as a result of a 5 aside footy injury. Might be fit again in September.

I have a couple of spaces in my car if anyone wants a lift?

Alternatively does anyone have a space in theirs that I could nab? I am bringing two boats with me (river runner and playboat).

Cheers,
Adrian
