Myself and Naomi intend going to Skern Lodge over the August back holiday,

John Woods will already be there on a surfing event, but he has got agreement in princible that we can go, but needs to confirm it.

So how about it, are you going to join in as well.

Please post here if you intend to.

This is now booked and we just need a few of those that are suggesting they may go to actually turn up - and some surf of course.

I'll be there!

Is the booking for Friday night as well, or arriving Saturday? I'll be leaving Sunday afternoon/evening.

You can camp from Friday night. I'm going Friday so are Dave & Heather. Camping is £4.20 /person/night.

Post Surfing location for late arrivals Reply with quote
For the benefit of those that may be arriving late or just heading straight to the beach, this is the point we normally surf from http://goo.gl/maps/c4kb. There is a lifeguard hut there, park near and walk up the ramp. Toilets are in the visitor centre which is the building to the north of the car parks.

Keep fingers crossed for sun & surf.

Well, those of you that didn't make it missed a real treat. As part of the workshop I was attending a number of the England team members joined us on the Sunday. You could have been out there surfing the same wave as Chris Hobson, Andy McCulloch, Sam Davenport, Aiden Brackenbury, Dylan Petheridge, Del Elesmore & Andy Howlett. Not a bad line up with 4 current British champs there and another on the beach coaching. Plus ten students of various levels so 17 surf boats out together.

Fair play to Luke for being out the back with us - paddling solo on a double sit on top !! Michael was there as well, doing really well for his second days surfing.

Conditions may not have been ideal but I think everyone had a good time - I sure as hell did Smile
