Post Paddle next sunday Reply with quote
Hi guys.

Focusing on those of you that need to be lead (EG those who missed out yesterday and Sunday ) is anyone interested in paddling next Sunday , levels permitting ? With the rain this week , although apparently drier later , something should hopefully be on . Competent paddlers would be welcome , but my interest is leading those new to grade 2/3 .

"Club paddling" by it's very nature is restrictive ; IE dependant on access , the "paddling season" and the right amount of water etc.
Clubs do their best in this regard , but nature usually has other plans , so paddlers should be prepared to be a little flexible .
That flexability could be being willing to paddle at short notice , to change a plan or location , even to turn up at whatever water levels are predicted , equally prepared for the leader to tell you that you cannot paddle that day.

Anyway , let me know ASAP please , by posting here . My decision on leading will depend on numbers , and the individuals interested.

Hi Hardy,

I am up for this Sunday with my James and Bethany if she's not working.

There is an intro to white water day in the programme for Sunday. I was hoping to go on that but am currently between boats.

If I have a boat in time, and if the intro course isn't going ahead, and if an absolute beginner can cope with what you have in mind I would love to come along.

I'm up for a paddle, it's been a while since I was on a river, so looking forward to it!
Cheers

Hi .

Having spoken to Luke , we will run our paddles side by side , at the Barle . Luke will teach the intros , whilst the rest of us practice leading , and rescues !

Exbridge for 10 am Sunday.
