There is an open boat trip on the 17th, this will be on grade 2 water so if you have some moving water experience in open boats and want to paddle then please post here.

I am currently thinking of the lower Dart to Staverton, this will be dependent on water levels nearer the time.

Contact Colin if you need to hire a club boat.

Hi Helen - I contacted Colin about boat hire but he says he is working away at the moment and may not be back by then, so to contact a committee member instead?

Thanks,
Laura

Hi Helen
Hoping to come along with Bethany.
I'll count the boats out and in for Colin if that helps.

Hi Matt,
Have you done much open boating before?

Neil will do the boat hire so let him know which boat you would like. The new blue boats don't have bang plates yet so can't be taken on moving water.

I don't even know which boat is which in terms of requesting one (maybe a green one?)!

Neil - will we need to meet you at the farm to each collect a boat, or is someone taking the trailer?

Thanks,
Laura

If people want to come to the boat barn on Saturday 4pm I'll be there to help load. And if I'm not there please only take the old boats out.
Cheers
Neil

Hi Neil - as discussed at the pool last night, Helen suggested meet 8am on Sunday at the barn instead to get the boats on the day. Is it still ok to meet you there then instead?

Thanks,
Laura

So there will be:

Helen (and Rob hopefully)
Neil P and Bethany
Neil H
Laura
Martyn

All 4 of the club open boats are now booked

Matt I have e-mailed you

Can you bring throw lines to attach to your boats for self rescues and warm drink and warm kit as it will be cold.

We will meet at 10.00 at Buckfastleigh below the weir, I'll post an exact link later

Martyn,

I'm heading down with Neil P so won't be at the barn in the morning. See you all in Buckfastleigh.

Cheers
