We have booked The Glan Dwr Mountain Lodge bunkhouse near Betws-y-coed for our annual trip to North Wales. The bunkhouse is equiped with kitchen, drying room, wood burner.

Website for the accommodation is: www.glandwrlodge.co.uk

This is always a very eventful trip with rivers to suit all standards of paddlers. With good water there are plenty of rivers to paddle to suit all abilities. However if it is dry rivers such as the Dee will run and the Treweryn is usually releasing for at least one day over the weekend. Alternatively walking in Snowdonia is always an option.

Last year there was good water and it was enjoyed by all who came along. Please do not be afraid to express your interest whatever your ability.

However please note that this is a paddling trip and spaces are primarily open for those of us who want to paddle.

Places are limited to 20 so please let me know if you wish to come. The cost will be £25 for the weekend and I will require payment to confirm your place which will be done on a first come first served basis. Just so you know I already have people who have expressed an interest so places are likely to fill up fast.

Deposits (£25) can either be paid to me by cheque or paid directly into the SACC bank account. Details can be found on the membership form.
Please ensure that your reference is NW-[NAME]

Please ensure that you email me that you have paid if you make a bank transfer. Email: andy_hayes5@yahoo.co.uk

Andy

Thanks for the quick responses already received. The bunkhouse sleeps 20. However one bed is a double with a single above it so this may limit spaces to 19 depending on who is coming.

So far I already have 11 names but places will only be guaranteed on receipt of a deposit on a first come first served basis.

Names I have so far are:

Andy Hayes
James Putterill
Michael Fox
Helen Wheatley
John Cockran
Neil Hatherall
Adrian Clancy
Neil Palmer
Dan Collins
John Holle
Ian Holle

Regards

Andy

Only 4 spaces now left for North Wales. Those of you who have put your name down please ensure that you have paid the deposit otherwise your space is still open to others. Also this year refunds will only be given if your space is filled by another person.

Hi Guys,

Becky and I just got given the Sat/Sun off next week.... Is this trip something we could join in on, or is it too advanced/accommodation only.

Obviously, its possible we could work out our own accommodation elsewhere, but you probably have too many people anyways Smile

Thanks,
Tommy & Becky

North Wales trip this weekend. Just to confirm that you will need to bring your own sleeping bag but a sheet and pillow are provided.

All details of the accomodation can be found on:

www.glandwrlodge.co.uk

Access to the lodge is available from 6pm. The key is in a coded box. The code will be forwarded to me in the next couple of days.
