The first surfing weekend is fast approaching - 30th April/1st May see the programme and the Event Details page for full details. Basically, it's back at Westward Ho! and I need to know if you want to come so that I can give them numbers.

Being a bank holiday weekend there is the opportunity to camp there from Friday to Monday at £4.20 a night - you won't get a campsite at that price.

If anyone else is thinking of coming down but hasn't put anything on here. Friday and Saturday are looking the best days for surf. I'm going down tomorrow.

For Yo's benefit, primarily, here is the point we tend to surf from. http://goo.gl/maps/c4kb. There is a slipway there and usually a life guards hut though it hadn't been erected last week. I might now be in a coaching session on Saturday, it may be moved due to poor forecast for Sunday. So not sure who will be in the water - Woody & Roger probably, maybe Nick.

Anyone thinking of going down this weekend had better check the webcams and surf report http://magicseaweed.com/Westward-Ho%21-Surf-Report/1351/ I think you'll find it pointless going if you want to do any surfing Crying or Very sad

That'd be why we didn't arrive. Sad

23 miles further produced some excellent surf at Sandymouth Bay.
